Zurich Opera House

Zurich Opera House stands proud as city landmark that is deeply anchored in the local culture. Its roots go back to the glittering premiere of Mozart’s “Magic Flute” in 1834 at what was then known as the “Actien-Theater”. As the first permanently established theatre in the city, founded by keen theatre-goers in the form of a joint-stock company, Opernhaus Zürich AG has maintained its tradition over the years.

We have been a loyal partner of the institution for many years. SecuriFire Expert and SecuriLink UMS have taken centre stage and are setting new standards in terms of safety.

A new fire alarm system sets the tone.

Six of our powerful SecuriFire control panels safeguard the opera house by providing round-the-clock protection against fire. The system’s 1200 combined smoke and heat detectors – some even colour-matched to their environment – monitor rooms and corridors, while an acoustic alarm provides for rapid, targeted evacuation. In the majestic auditorium, our SecuriSmoke ASD aspirating smoke detectors continuously sniff the air for smoke and raise the alarm if needed. 

Our SecuriLink UMS safety management system provides the opera house’s fire officers with easy-to-understand visualisation of the fire detection system on clear digital floor plans. This innovative solution facilitates structured alarm raising in the event of an emergency while simplifying the operation of the entire fire alarm system.
