The Locarno Festival, a cinematic event that has been a highlight of the Swiss cultural scene for over 70 years, pays homage to cinematic masterpieces; its new beating heart is the PalaCinema. This architectural gem sits enthroned against the picturesque backdrop of Locarno as the new home of the festival. 

Inaugurated in the 2017 anniversary year, the PalaCinema is more than just a building; it is also a stage for the artistic essence of the cinematic experience. Forming the core of the festival organisation, which operates throughout the year and not just during the festival event itself, are three cinemas, hundreds of seats, multi-purpose rooms, cafés and offices. Dance, theatre, congresses – the PalaCinema is a hub of cultural diversity. We are at the forefront of safeguarding this cultural treasure.

In the impressive cinemas and inviting lobby, high-precision SecuriSmoke ASD aspirating smoke detectors ensure that any spark of a fire is nipped in the bud. 
 

However, our solution goes beyond fire protection – intrusion alarm systems such as SecuriSafe Expert and SecuriEye Expert, our video security product, monitor the entrances and passages of the PalaCinema using 13 state-of-the-art video cameras powered by the IPSVideoManager. In an emergency requiring rapid evacuation, a voice alarm system from g+m Elektronik featuring 67 loudspeakers is on hand to ensure everyone’s safety.
