With social commitment, we help where it matters and put our values into practice. On 21 May 2025, a team from the Bern office headed out of the office into the woods. They swapped their PCs for a pickaxe, shovel and rain jacket to restore a hiking trail in the Bernese Oberland. A commitment to the environment, community and strong cooperation.
Living values with mind, heart and hands
Our vision “Together for a safe future” means taking responsibility. Thats why we are committed to social projects – both through financial support and through active involvement on site. This is how we create tangible added value for the community.
One example of this is the work carried out as part of the bergversetzer project, organised by the municipal maintenance service of Innertkirchen. The initiative arranges specific assignments in mountain regions where helping hands are needed.
Rain, team spirit and a clear goal
Two groups from the Bern office each covered a section of a hiking trail. They sawed branches, removed roots, cut back shrubs and levelled the ground with shovels and pickaxes.
The constant rain made the operation challenging: getting wet and working on slippery terrain was tough at first. But with every metre covered, motivation grew. “We didn’t just want to finish the path, we wanted to do a really good job. And do it together”, says Maurice Danioth from the Bern office.
The view from the hillside, hot tea in the alpine hut and the gratitude of the guide gave everyone an added lift. Alex Roth from the municipal maintenance team summed up what everyone felt: Real work has been done here.
Engagement that makes an impact
Initiatives like this create connection, with the place, the task and, above all, with each other. “We have seen that we work just as well together out in the field as we do in the office. It was awesome!”
Visible in the landscape and felt within the team: With this commitment, Securiton is demonstrating what partnership means. Responsibility also means rolling up your sleeves outside everyday office life.
