UEFA Youth League finals

The UEFA Youth League offers not only thrilling football action, but also a stage for the stars of tomorrow. Players gain experience on the field of play and are also involved in educational events and community initiatives, building team spirit and promoting fair play. In its nine years of existence, the Youth League has produced greats such as João Félix, Leroy Sané, Andreas Christensen, Munir El Haddadi and Mason Mount – talents who now dominate the stages of European football. 

The UEFA Youth League brought Europe’s most promising talents together for the thrilling final round in Nyon at the end of April. It was here that Atlético Madrid, Benfica Lisbon, Juventus Turin and FC Salzburg met to crown the champion in thrilling semi-finals and finals. 

High performance off the field.

Securitas provided security in and around the Stade de Colovray in Nyon with its proven professionalism. From site surveillance to patrols during training days, semi-finals and finals – the 90 security experts from Securitas ensured that everything ran smoothly. Controlling access, scanning for unauthorised items and managing the flow of visitors were just some of the tasks they mastered confidently. A command centre also coordinated the operations on the final days. 

Drone detection and precise intervention. 

We, too, were innovative and pioneering during the days of the finals. With our effective SecuriDrone drone detection system, we prevented third-party drones from penetrating the stadium grounds. The system played a key role when an unauthorised drone took photos and videos at the UEFA Youth League finals back in 2020. It detects the intrusion of a drone, locates the pilot and enables precise intervention for a controlled landing.
