Convergence at Securiton: Intelligently networked security systems

At Securiton, technological convergence is reflected in the seamless connection of our Expert systems SecuriEye, SecuriGate and SecuriSafe. Functions and components are used across systems, which not only simplifies operation but also significantly reduces the need for additional hardware, cabling and services.

Unlike conventional systems, many physical connections such as cabling and control boxes are eliminated. Communication takes place via a central, intelligent infrastructure – efficient, flexible and ready for future extensions. This allows our customers to benefit from reduced effort in installation, maintenance and extension.

Example, door management: Digital communication instead of extensive cabling

To ensure seamless interaction between access readers, cameras and alarm systems, a central connection is needed – a digital post office that receives information and forwards it to the right places. At Securiton, this task is performed by the Conex convergence module : It automatically distributes the appropriate instructions, securely, quickly and at the right time.

This is especially clear in the example of door management: Instead of multiple control boxes and complex wiring, reduced installation is all it takes. When a badge is scanned by an access reader, Conex automatically receives a notification and forwards the relevant information to all other systems involved. The intrusion alarm system disarms the area, the door opens, and the cameras continuously monitor the process. One process, several systems involved, but only one communication logic.

The technical basis is the tried-and-tested MQTT protocol, which only transmits data when required and works in a resource-saving manner while meeting the highest security standards.
