Since November 2011 the Swedish home furnishing company IKEA now has nine stores in Switzerland.

The most recent IKEA furnishing store opened in Rothenburg, at an ideal location outside Lucerne, offering 18 000 m2 of retail surface. To prevent any disruptions to business operations due to intrusion or fire, Securiton installed a versatile intrusion and fire alarm system at the furniture company. IKEA has been represented in central Switzerland, too, since November 2011. At its new home furnishing store at Rothenburg the Swedish furniture company showcases a wide choice of home furnishing ideas with numerous innovations from its latest catalogue in each case. Situated right next to the A2 motorway – with its own motorway exit and optimum links to the public transport network – IKEA Rothenburg with its 18 000 m2 of retail surface, restaurant, Sweden Shop and children’s play area is easy to reach and guarantees an enjoyable shopping experience. The largest IKEA store in Switzerland after Spreitenbach employs around 230 people and is one of the largest Minergie-standard premises in the canton of Lucerne.
