Successful exchanges on an equal footing: a look back at the Security User Days 2026 in Aarau and Lugano
The requirements placed on modern security systems are evolving rapidly. This year’s Security User Days held by Securiton in Aarau and Lugano showed how these challenges can be met with innovative solutions, and also the added value created by direct dialogue. The focus was on practical insights and the valuable exchange of experiences within the security industry.
Under the guiding principle of making forward-looking technologies tangible and promoting direct dialogue, the Security User Days 2026 brought together numerous end users, security managers, experts in IT security and facility management, and specialists from Securiton. The events in German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino provided the ideal platform for discussing current trends and laying the foundations for collaborative partnerships.
Technology in action: the highlights of the live demos
In the limelight at the events were the various live demos, where the participants experienced first-hand how modern security architectures interact seamlessly in everyday life:
- Live demo 1: Convergence at the doors This demo showed how an intelligent connection directly at the door can optimise automated processes. This ranged from automatic switching of day and night operation and innovative LiDAR person counting to efficient event analysis and troubleshooting in the video security system.
- Live demo 2: End-to-end processes from detection to forensic search This demo showed how rapid visual verification can drastically shorten reaction times. Perimeter alarm transmission, the automated deployment of drones for real-time situation assessment, plus intelligent video analysis and the identification of persons will massively increase the efficiency of incident management.
- Live demo 3: Multi-site systems (hybrid, on-premises and cloud) The third live demo was dedicated to the location-independent management of modern systems. The participants saw how flexible access rights can be assigned remotely, how remote access with video verification works and how a cross-system forensic video search can be carried out using on-premises and cloud cameras.
Aarau and Lugano: a focus on strong dialogue
The event kicked off in Aarau. It quickly became clear that, in addition to technical innovations, the focus was primarily on human and technical aspects. The Security User Days have become established as a unique platform where everyone involved meets as equals. The opportunity to openly address daily challenges, provide direct feedback from practice and define requirements for the future met with great enthusiasm among the guests.
The second stop at Casino Lugano was also a resounding success. Even the rain – an unusual sight in Switzerland’s sunniest corner – did not dampen the mood of the participants. On the contrary: the close atmosphere in Ticino provided the perfect setting for intensive networking and honest, practical exchanges.
